We are thrilled to announce that the 2019 World Wiffle® Ball Championship will again benefit the South Suburban Humane Society. The WWBC raised $2,100 for SSHS in 2018.
Come join us from 11-4 on Sunday, May 19 at PetSmart in Tinley Park (7340 W. 191st Street), where we will be helping the South Suburban Humane Society find homes for some animals. Anyone who adopts a pet at the event, will have the opportunity to register for this year’s WWBC for $75.
Every penny after taking care of the tournament costs (field rental, shirts, setup costs, equipment, insurance, trophies, etc.) will go to SSHS. When we agreed to take over the tournament in 2017, having a charitable aspect associated with the tournament was a necessity. We have spent countless hours trying to reduce tournament costs, find ways to lower costs for our teams, all while being able to make a difference for a worthy cause. We absolutely cannot thank you all enough for participating in the WWBC and helping animals in need.
We have first-hand knowledge of the tremendous work that South Suburban does in finding homes and providing resources for pets in Chicago’s south suburbs and Northwest Indiana.
