We’re now less than 5 weeks from the 45th World Wiffle® Ball Championship! Teams from Maryland, Florida, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana are currently in for a shot at a World Championship.

Competitors currently registered range from 12 years young to 65 years young-at-heart.

Not in yet? There’s still plenty of time to register.

Friday, July 19 is the final day to sign up and get official WWBC t-shirts for everyone on your roster.

The final deadline to get in the 45th WWBC is Sunday, August 11. Additional t-shirts will be available for purchase at the tournament or online.

A Look at Our New Host City

While you’re not wiffling August 17-18, here are some other events to enjoy in Crown Point!

The City of Crown Point offers a free splash pad at Bulldog Park, conveniently located two blocks from downtown Crown Point.

Stop by Bulldog Park during a break from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 17 to explore the Crown Point Farmers Market. Peruse wares from 70-plus vendors, including farmers, bakers, artisans and more.

Beer, Bacon & Bourbon Fest returns to Bulldog Park, 183 S. West St., Aug. 17! Gates open at 6 p.m. Your experience will start with a skewer of bacon and exclusive barrel aged Off Square brew. There will be 50 vendors, including craft beer, bourbon and more! There will be a pig roast and food available to purchase. Need a break from the action? Head down to the Franciscan Health Amphitheater to listen to Dirt Born and Nawty!

Downtown Crown Point has endless shopping and dining opportunities. Enjoy local fare from our award-winning restaurants while admiring the beloved historic Lake County Courthouse. Additional Tournament Details

Proceeds from the 45th World Wiffle® Ball Championship will again benefit the South Suburban Humane Society. Wifflers have raised over $13,000 for SSHS since 2018.

The Pool Play Schedule will be released on Tuesday evening, August 13. All teams will play four pool play games on Saturday, August 17 to attempt to qualify for Sunday’s single-elimination tournament.

The Home Run Derby Finals will be Saturday afternoon between 2-3 p.m. There will be no pool play games scheduled at this time. All players will have the opportunity to qualify for the Finals between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. The defending Prince of Plastic is Maple City Magic’s Ethan Bumgardner.

The WWBC Championship game (weather permitting) will start at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 18. The game will be streamed live on Instagram, and potentially other platforms as well.

Additional tournament details will be sent to team captains the week of the WWBC.
