For Immediate Release

After significant consideration, it is clear that the guidelines released last week by Gov. Pritzker regarding athletic competitions in Illinois would prevent the World Wiffle® Ball Championship from proceeding in Midlothian in September.

For 2020 only, we will be returning to the place that we called home for 32 years – Mishawaka, Indiana.  The 41st WWBC will be held on September 19-20, 2020 at Rose Park, which hosted the tournament from 2002-2012.

While it is unfortunate that the move was necessary, we fully plan on being back at Memorial Park in Midlothian, Illinois in 2021.  Tournament proceeds from the 2020 WWBC will continue to support South Suburban Humane Society.

If you have any questions regarding the move, please reach out to us at worldwiffleballchampionship@gmail.com.  For teams that have already registered and may not be able to accommodate the move, please contact us and we will provide you with a refund.  We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 landscape and provide further updates, as necessary.
